Wherever you travel in France there are good restaurants cooking comes so naturally to the French — but in the north there are fewer in the top category. Maison de Bricourt is therefore a real find; it is attractively located on the coast overlooking the bay of Mont St Michel and also near the port of St Malo. Chef/patron Olivier Roellinger who was born in this 18th century farmhouse creates excellent seafood dishes, of course, such as lobster with herbs from the islands and sea bass and sole with different sauces and also langoustines. Among meat dishes there is a remarkable saddle of lamb and an excellent pigeon. Roellinger and his wife Jane also run an hotel and a bistro.
