Jacques and Laurent Pourcel are, I can safely say, the only twins who cook to three star standard. They certainly are very talented brothers and I very much enjoyed our last meal and stay there. The restaurant is part of a small modern hotel on a non-descript backstreet. However the rooms are very comfortable and there is a small swimming pool on the roof. The dining room looks like an amphitheatre and has a glass wall leading on to an attractive garden with fountains and ponds. As it is not far from the coast the cooking is full of Mediterranean flavours in dishes such as oursin (sea urchins), coquille St Jacques sautee and a brochette of gambas. The wine list offers many choices from the region — do try them.
